We all have our heavy duty bucket lists that include skydiving, scuba diving a shipwreck, and other big crazy fun events. What about the small things that you want to do on a daily basis? Those are just as important.
In fact, I’d say they’re MORE important than the big ones because let’s face it, those big ones most likely won’t happen today – and we’re not promised tomorrow. Not to be too morbid, but if you were to pass away in your sleep tonight, would you be satisfied with the way you spent your day? That’s what got me thinking about my list.
Here’s my daily to-do list, because you never know when it’s your last:
1) Laugh from the belly
One of those laughs where you don’t even care what people think of your laugh
2) Eat something healthy
At least one healthy meal a day
3) Spend a moment with someone
Not “spend time with someone”, but actually be there in the moment with them, listening to every word.
4) Spend a moment with myself
Meditate for 5 minutes, take a 10 minute walk, or just ponder this crazy thing called life for a moment.
5) Accomplish something
Big or small, doesn’t matter. Small accomplishments lead to big accomplishments.
What’s on your daily bucket list? Let us know in the comments below. Who knows, maybe you’ll inspire someone
My bucket list: break bad habits, learn more about myself as much as I can,and take the time to learn about others, take the time to be here and now with my friends, learn to listen better what others are trying to tell me, work on spiritual growth, working on going to the gym, treasure the good friends I have in my life, alway practicing on staying focus and centering myself and bringing awarness of my surroundings!
Wow, that’s a great bucket list Jaime! Do you have a time frame in which you’d like to master these things?
I love this…a daily bucket list. I don’t have a formal daily list; however, at the top of my to-do’s I have a static list that includes my “me” time – Bible devotion/journal, reading 1 chapter of a book, listening to at least 15 minutes of an amazing positive audio book and of course fitness of some sort. This week I added that I must have a positive word for at least one person a day. I think I was averaging every other day, but it’s so awesome that I want to be cognizant of doing it everyday.
Wow, that’s a GREAT list! Sometimes these lists seem insurmountable on a daily basis, but if you really break it down you find that it doesn’t take much time or effort at all. It looks like your list can be completed within a few hours, and that’s what you’ve dedicated to your life, growth, and well-being….and THAT. IS. AWESOME!!!
